General Event Participation Waiver, Release of Liability, and Assumption of Risk

By registering for, purchasing a ticket to, attending, or participating in an event at junct.n studio, I acknowledge that I have read and understand this agreement and voluntarily agree to its terms. This agreement applies to the event identified in my registration and to any other event, class, workshop, gathering, or activity I attend at junct.n studio after I accept it, unless I accept a newer version.

"junct.n studio" means JUNCTIONSTUDIO, LLC, doing business as junct.n studio, located at 1303 Avocado Avenue, Suite 195, Newport Beach, California 92660.

"Released Parties" means: (a) junct.n studio and its members, managers, officers, employees, volunteers, and agents; (b) the owner, landlord, and property manager of the premises, and their respective affiliates; and (c) any instructor, facilitator, vendor, or event organizer presenting, leading, or supplying the event, and their employees and agents.

1. Voluntary Participation and Assumption of Risk

I understand that junct.n studio hosts a variety of events, including wellness classes, sound baths, meditation, breathwork, yoga, movement sessions, cacao experiences, educational programs, creative and craft workshops, pop-up markets, private gatherings, and other ticketed activities.

I acknowledge that participation may involve foreseeable and unforeseeable risks, including:

  • Physical injury, muscle strain, dizziness, fatigue, falls, or other bodily discomfort.
  • Emotional or psychological discomfort arising from meditation, breathwork, sensory experiences, or group activities.
  • Allergic reactions, food sensitivities, or adverse responses to food, beverages, ingredients, scents, candles, essential oils, or craft materials.
  • Cuts, burns, or other injuries from workshop tools, heat sources, equipment, furniture, or supplies.
  • Slips, trips, falls, or accidents within the premises, parking areas, or associated access areas.
  • Damage to, loss of, or theft of personal belongings.
  • Actions or omissions of other attendees or third-party event providers.

I voluntarily assume all of these risks, known and unknown, including risks that may result in injury, illness, disability, property damage, or death.

2. Health and Personal Responsibility

I am responsible for determining whether an activity is appropriate for my physical and mental health. I understand that certain activities may not be suitable for individuals with specific medical conditions, injuries, pregnancy, allergies, sensitivities, or other health considerations.

I agree to:

  • Consult a qualified healthcare professional when appropriate before participating.
  • Inform the instructor or facilitator of relevant limitations when necessary for safe participation.
  • Follow reasonable safety instructions and participate within my personal limits.
  • Stop participating immediately if I experience pain, dizziness, distress, or other concerning symptoms.
  • Not take part in physical, movement, breathwork, tool-based, or wellness activities while impaired by alcohol, cannabis, or other drugs.

I understand that junct.n studio and its event providers do not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, or individualized medical advice unless expressly identified as appropriately licensed healthcare providers.

3. Wellness Activities, Food, and Beverages

Activities involving meditation, sound, breathwork, movement, cacao, herbal preparations, or other wellness experiences may produce different physical or emotional responses for different individuals. No specific therapeutic, medical, or psychological outcome is guaranteed.

Where food or beverages are offered, I am responsible for reviewing available ingredient and allergen information and asking questions before consumption. junct.n studio cannot guarantee that food or beverages prepared or supplied by independent providers will be free from allergens or cross-contact. Participation in any food, beverage, or wellness experience is voluntary.

4. Release of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY CALIFORNIA LAW, I VOLUNTARILY RELEASE, WAIVE, AND DISCHARGE THE RELEASED PARTIES FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO MY ATTENDANCE AT OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY EVENT OR ACTIVITY AT JUNCT.N STUDIO, INCLUDING CLAIMS FOR PERSONAL INJURY, ILLNESS, DEATH, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE CAUSED IN WHOLE OR IN PART BY THE ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE OF ANY RELEASED PARTY.

This release includes ordinary negligence in the selection, training, or supervision of instructors, staff, or vendors; in the instruction or conduct of any activity; and in the condition, design, maintenance, or use of the premises, furnishings, equipment, parking, and access areas.

This release does not apply to gross negligence, recklessness, intentional misconduct, violations of statutory duties that cannot lawfully be waived, or any other liability that California law prohibits releasing.

I UNDERSTAND THAT BY ACCEPTING THIS AGREEMENT I AM GIVING UP SUBSTANTIAL LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING MY RIGHT TO SUE THE RELEASED PARTIES FOR ORDINARY NEGLIGENCE.

5. Participant Conduct and Property Rules

I agree to comply with posted rules, reasonable staff instructions, applicable laws, and event-specific safety requirements. I will:

  • Treat other participants, staff, instructors, and the premises respectfully.
  • Use equipment, furnishings, and materials only as intended.
  • Avoid dangerous, disruptive, or unlawful behavior.
  • Refrain from smoking, vaping, or using prohibited substances on the premises.
  • Respect occupancy limits, designated event areas, emergency exits, and building access restrictions.
  • Not damage, alter, or remove venue property without authorization.

junct.n studio may deny entry to or remove any individual whose conduct creates a safety concern or materially violates event rules, subject to applicable law.

6. Personal Property and Damage

I am responsible for my personal belongings. To the fullest extent permitted by law, junct.n studio is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property arising from ordinary negligence.

I am responsible for physical damage to the venue, furnishings, equipment, or other property that I cause through my negligent, reckless, intentional, or unauthorized conduct, excluding ordinary wear and tear.

7. Third-Party Instructors and Event Providers

Certain events are organized, instructed, facilitated, or supplied by independent third parties, who are responsible for their own instruction, qualifications, materials, products, services, and safety practices. Their activities may involve additional risks or require separate event-specific acknowledgments, which supplement and do not replace this agreement.

Nothing in this agreement eliminates any legal duty that junct.n studio or another party cannot lawfully delegate or waive.

8. Emergency Assistance

If I experience an injury or medical emergency, I authorize junct.n studio staff or event representatives to contact emergency services and to arrange or consent to emergency medical care on my behalf when reasonably necessary. I understand that junct.n studio personnel may not be medically trained and are not obligated to provide treatment beyond any duties imposed by law. I am responsible for my own medical expenses, except to the extent another party is legally responsible.

9. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from third-party claims, damages, losses, and reasonable legal expenses to the extent arising from my negligent, reckless, intentional, or unlawful acts or omissions, or my material violation of venue safety rules. This obligation does not require me to indemnify any Released Party for that party's own negligence or other conduct where such indemnification is prohibited by law.

10. Photography and Media

Events may be photographed or recorded. I consent to junct.n studio using images, video, or audio in which I appear for promotional purposes without compensation. I may opt out at any time by telling staff at check-in or by notifying junct.n studio in writing, and junct.n studio will make reasonable efforts to exclude me from future use.

11. Minors

This agreement covers adults only. Participants under 18 may attend only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who must complete junct.n studio's separate Minor Participation Waiver before participation and comply with any supervision and age requirements. A ticket purchaser's acceptance of this adult agreement does not provide consent or a release on behalf of any other person, including a minor.

12. Governing Law and Severability

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of California. If any provision is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full effect. Nothing in this agreement limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.

13. Electronic Acceptance

By affirmatively selecting the waiver acknowledgment checkbox during checkout or check-in, I confirm that:

  • I have had an opportunity to read this agreement in full before accepting.
  • I understand that participation involves risks.
  • I voluntarily accept its terms, including the release of claims for ordinary negligence.
  • I am at least 18 years old and am accepting only on my own behalf.
  • I intend my electronic acceptance to serve as my electronic signature, with the same effect as a handwritten signature.

I understand that junct.n studio will keep a record of my acceptance, including the date, time, and version of this agreement.
